How easy is it to install?

BluSENSE building performance analyzers are simple to set up. Although there are hardwired sensors available, most sensors are wireless, automatically configured and set up once a QR code on their label is scanned.

What sensors can I use with it?

BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers can connect to all major sensor protocols, including LoRa WAN, WiFi, BlueTooth and Zigbee. Around 200 sensors are available, including flow, pressure, temperature, fluid level, current, voltage, air quality, and water quality.

How many sensors can I connect to one unit?

Depending on the communication protocol several hundred sensors can be connected to one BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzer.

What is the range of the wireless sensors?

LoRa WAN sensors have a range of up to six miles. WiFi sensors have a range of up to 500 feet depending on surrounding structures. Bluetooth typically has a range of 50 feet and Zigbee 300 feet.

Which measurement standards and protocols does it support?

BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers support all commonly used wireless protocols, including LoRa WAN, WiFi, Bluetooth and Zigbee.
BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers also have a built-in LabJack driver allowing up to 86 wired high-speed channels to be connected directly to the unit.

Is the data secure and encrypted?

Yes. The data has a military grade encryption.

Is data collected and verified in real-time?

BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers use real-time valid data verification for down-to-the-second results before data is transmitted to the cloud. Each sensor end-node uses GPS to record an accurate time stamp showing precisely when the data point was measured.
This is different from cloud-based systems that will only generate a time stamp once the data packet is processed by the server. This results in delays in collection, processing, and transmission of data via the internet. Server availability and available computing cycles influence the exact time of measurement, making cloud-based measurements prone to time stamp errors.

How will I know when data falls outside my project's parameters?

You will receive an alert via email and/or SMS when data levels are outside a preset range and time.

Do I have to be onsite to access my data?

No. BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers can be accessed remotely via a web browser using a live dashboard offering continuous status reports, current and historical data, calibration options, data export options, trends, and report and graph generators. If you are on site BluSENSE has a USB port for you to download data.

How is my data saved and backed up?

By storing data locally as well as backing it up to the cloud, your data is safe and secure even when the power goes out or a sensor fails. Additionally, LoRa sensor data is also stored on the sensor itself should there be a drop out in communication. And for absolute peace of mind, all BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers include a backup battery that will provide continuous performance for up to two weeks.

Does it need an internet connection to work?

We recommend connecting BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers to your local network via ethernet or WiFi connection. However, when the local internet connection fails, cellular LTE backup automatically restores connectivity to the cloud and the user. BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers also run on the cellular network alone with annual contracts costing around $60 per year.

How do I communicate with the unit?

BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers transfer all local data automatically to the cloud. Using any browser, the user has the option to connect directly to the BluSENSE device or its mirrored cloud dashboard.

What if the power goes out?

By storing data locally as well as backing it up to the cloud, your data is safe and secure even when the power goes out or a sensor fails. Additionally, LoRa sensor data is also stored on the sensor itself should there be a drop out in communication. And for absolute peace of mind, all BluSENSE Building Performance Analyzers include a backup battery that will provide continuous performance for up to two weeks.

Where is BluSENSE technology made?
